A New Low

Without a doubt, this is the most unbelievable thing I have read in this election season:

- While Americans who go abroad to kill people vote Republican, Americans who go abroad to do just about anything else vote Democratic.

Elisabeth Eaves - Slate Magazine

Maybe she meant it as an endorsement?

Like Instapundit is always saying, she's not anti-war (or anti-military), she's just on the other side. The entirety of Slate (with the possible partial exception of Mickey Kaus) has slid into the realm of idiotarianism during this election cycle. It is now utterly useless to read any of that drivel, which is sad, since it used to be a decent read.

Gone to Costa Rica to river raft - check.

Did not kill anyone while there (either time) - check

Voting Republican - check

Nope, her theory holds no water.
