Synchronicity

I was in the dentist chair this morning, for a full three hours. The finishing act was to replace my broken crown and bridge.

Picture the scene, me flat on my back, the doctor and her assistant with their fingers jammed in my mouth holding the bridge down while it dries, I'm looking up at the ceiling in pain when all of a sudden over the radio comes Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong singing "What a wonderful world...."

"Oh yeah...."

Back as soon as the pain wears off.

You probably would have been happier with what came on the radio when I was in a similar situation; Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb".

I feel your pain. Really. I was in the dentist chair on Monday myself for forty minutes (six minor cavities). Blech.

Although the most irritating part was waiting for feeling to return to my face before I could eat. Man, I got hungry.
