Vienna: Feet Dry

( Flying formation with British Airways today somewhere over the North Atlantic...)

I made landfall in North America today at 1:30 EST. Yeeeehaaa.

I followed the sun for most of the day, landing back in California just at Sunset. The switch-out at Dulles was a masterpiece in scheduling, at the gate at 3:10 - taking the "Moon Buggys" down to customs and passport control, then picked up the bag and threw it back into United baggage control, then up the stairs through security and back onto the Dulles "Moon Buggys" and still managed to catch the continuing flight - All that happened in 30 minutes! That process almost never happens that fast! I doubt that if this was any day but Saturday there is no way I could have pulled that off.

So what if I've been travelling for 20 hours? So what if I have a case of DVT building up right behind my knees? The heck with it - Im home now and nothing can quite beat that.

I've got a thousand things to catch up on, starting first with my sleep and then I'll be back at the blog at full strength.

Thank you for your patience...
