Shut Up and Give

International Fellowship of Christians and Jews
Mercy Corps has set up relief for Lebanon.
Since I did help World Vision implement their Expatriate Payroll system, I think I can recommend their aid system to help the Lebanese. (NOT Hezbollah, Lebanese. The Lebanese are victims of Hezbollah every bit as much as the Israelis are victims of Hezbollah. The Lebanese are hostages behind whom Hezbollah is hiding behind to fire at the Israelis.)
Don't support Hezbollah.
Don't support Iran.
Don't support Syria.
Don't support Pessimism.
Support the Lebanese.
Support the Israelis.
Support Victory.
You cannot stand neutral in this war. You either help the enemy, or you aid and defend your allies. There is no Sweden. There is no middle ground, no ocean to hide behind, no excuse high enough to hide your shame. 2000 Generations of Western Civilization have passed before you came into the world. All of those who came before us were challenged in their time to help bring concepts like personal freedom, the rights of the individual, the sanctity of life, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from religion, freedom from persecution, for artistic freedom, for logic and science, for the emancipation of women as equals with men; all were brought into the world in which you were born because of the sacrifices of the generations that came before you.
All of those things which you hold so dear are now at risk of being lost.
Now, its your turn to serve the wolrd to see that these rights, the very treasure of the western world, survive this generation for your children and for their children beyond.
In this world you are either Vichy or Free, Collaborator or Maqui. You decide. There is no third way. You serve, even by doing nothing, but by doing nothing you serve only the side that enslaves men and kills women and childen for sport. It is no more sophisticated than that, for that is what we fight for; the right not to be enslaved, the right not to be killed for praying to a God of our own choosing, the right for women to live as equals with men, the right to speak, to breath, to be...
Someday, the war will end and you will have to answer for your actions in this war. Did you fight for them? Or did you fight for us? You decide now how you want to answer that question in a generation.
Whos side were you on when the world was forced to choose between a world where all of mankind lives under the boot of slavery or a world where freedom, dignity and human liberty are sovereign right for all mankind?
Or did you just stand by and do nothing while your fellow human beings were allowed to be dragged away in the night and made into bars of soap and lampshades?
You decide. The world awaits.

"You cannot stand neutral in this war. You either help the enemy, or you aid and defend your allies. There is no Sweden. There is no middle ground, no ocean to hide behind, no excuse high enough to hide your shame."
That goes for the people you are giving aid to as well Frank.
There is no proof that "Mercy Corps" is not giving aid to Hezbollah and Hezbollah supporters . There is not even a declaration of that on the site that I can see. On the contrary there is every indication they are giving it to
people who hate Israel and they even give aid to Palestinians. There is no declaration that they check the loyalty or politics of the people they are giving aid to. There is no demonstration of how they ensure aid does not go to Hezbollah. By you own standards nobody can be neutral and they are acting as if they are neutral, which means they are definitely giving aid to terrorists and terrorist supporters.

I'd give to the IDF directly if I could, but they dont seem to have a website.
for the record, I have worked for the world vision folks in an ancillary way, they seemed to me to be on the up and up. They were genuinely good folks to work for.
And also for the record, I chose the IFCJ for my donation.
If you have any any info on the mercy corps folks, Im all ears...
( And yeah I did notice that both somehow neglected to have a link to donate to israeli civilian relief.)

I'm trying this as my full comment. I just changed many things. Don't know what is the problem.

I I read their stories on Leb anon and Pal estine and they are just gen eric, showing no proof or detail of who they give relief to and how they make sure it does not go to Ham as or Hezbollah or their supporters.
As for Pal estine , for sure , the majority brought destruction on themselves with their intolerance of Israel and refusal to want peace.
Tell me, how do you take aid into a Hezbollah controlled areas and ensure that it does not go to Hezbollah . Terrorists are people with guns and no restraint in using them. They can even take it from the people you give it to after you are gone.
What is the point to wage war against terrorists and then give money to prop up their infrastructure to allow them to survive.
Nobody should give anything to any person or organization in Lebanon unless it is proved that they do not support Hezbollah AND it is proved that the aid will go to them and to no other.
WAR is WAR. The enemy is the enemy. That goes for civilians. There are no innocent civilians in Lebanon. There are no "neutrals" in Lebanon, There are only those who are our civilian allies and those who are our civilian enemies. Not to recognize this is to have the same disease of political correctness that is allowing Muslim Fundamentalists to destroy our society from within.
We must be tough and unrelenting to deal with terrorists and terrorist populations. They made their bed, let them lie in it. Save your compassion for the victims of Jihadists and save your guilt for not denouncing all of them both civilian and military Jihadists.

OK That worked. Sorry for the dog's breakfast. I'm not sure what test it didn't like but I kept changing things til it worked. The automatic censor doesn not say what it doesn't like , just says "objectionable content". I didn't think I'm that objectionable.
Yes, Frank if money goes to Lebanon, I'm all for genuine charity and compassion even if the people are a little dubious they are still mostly victims of circumstance, so long as they have no direct involvement with terrorism.
Also , we still need to offer them help as a road to peace.
But I still would like to see detailed reports of where and how the aid is going. The reports on the website are far too generic and there is a sense that they are compromised by sympathy without a hard-headed look at the process , something like UN workers.
I would like to learn more generally, not about reports coming back from Lebanon, but about the circumstances of the people who are giving back the reports and of the demographics of the population.

"EMERGENCY APPEAL FOR NORTHERN RESIDENTS FLEEING THE BOMBINGS
Yad Ezra VeShulamit is now providing meals for 1000 northern residents who are fleeing the bombings.
People in Jerusalem have opened their hearts and their homes to Jewish people who are running from the constant bombardment of katyushas. Each meal is $4.50. Our soup kitchens are costing us $4,500 more PER DAY. Help us help our brothers in need.

"ISRAEL IS IN A STATE OF EMERGENCY!
WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT?!
Due to the current terror crisis facing the people of Israel, OneFamily has started an EMERGENCY FUND for the families whose loved ones were killed by Hezbollah rockets raining down on Israel, for the wounded, and for those who are left with no shelter.
THEY NEED YOU!
YOU CAN HELP!
OneFamily is already on the scene offering emergency financial assistance to the most destitute victims. We are relocating families to southern Israel - a mother with 7 children who couldn't afford a bomb shelter, handicapped persons unable to enter them, and everyone else who seeks refuge.
OneFamily has received urgent requests from the Office of the Prime Minister to do everything we can. We can only do this with your help.
WE MUST ACT NOW! GIVE TO ONEFAMILY BECAUSE WE ARE ALL ONEFAMILY!

"I'd give to the IDF directly if I could, but they dont seem to have a website."
Oh yes they do. But they get their funding from the Israeli Government. Their website is quite extensive and they have a lot of news and links on it.

Additionally you can offer your personal servies to the Mossad for whatever capacity or skills you have... As per Victor Ostrovsky, they don't need a large home office or home force becaue they rely primarily on the help of out of country amateur volunteers... mostly Jewish.

I'd also point to you that worldvision supports the ceasefire:
==================
Dear Madame Secretary,
On behalf of the undersigned U.S.-based international humanitarian and development organisations, we write to you with urgent and great concern regarding the current crisis in Israel, Gaza and Lebanon. As all parties continue to escalate this conflict, which is having a devastating impact on innocent civilians, we urge the United States to do all in its power to broker an immediate cease-fire so that lives can be spared while a lasting peace plan is negotiated.
