Sign the pledge
Let me say this first. I am not someone who tosses around the words "I will quit the party" lightly. I believe that "you dance with them that brung ya"
So I do not toss around the words "I will not support Republicans" lightly, but I say that with direct and specific meaning. If the party does not take action to stop the reckless self serving cowardice being undertaken by Senator Warner in the Senate, I will not not support the Republican party. Not one thin dime, not one even remotely positive blog posting. That goes for all of you up there Honourable Ladies and Gentleman, so let's not try to take cover behind the "I'm your pal, its us against Warner, so dont get mad at me" because it wont work with me. You stand with him, I will not stand with you. It's that simple.
The message that Warner is sending is nothing short of the worst sort of gutless cowardice, it is worthy only of rebuke, not support on any level however 'quiet and reserved' it may be. Do not allow this masturbatory action to detract from our mission.
We as Republicans can debate border control, we can debate issues of taxation, but we cannot and will not stand for cutting the legs out from our military while they are at war. We did not send our men and women in Iraq to be fodder for the loudmouth layabout Senators on CSPAN, we sent our men and women to fight the enemy and win.
Let them fight and we will win. Let this action stand on the floor of the Senate and no one in our military will fight for us again without looking over their shoulders for support; but do it also with a mind to the fact that our enemy will keep coming no matter how many 'non binding resolutions' you pass.
There can be only one Peace from this war, and that is the Peace that comes through victory.
Now, go sign the pledge and do the same.

you are an idiot. everything that you say makes no sense at all. stop being such an idiot conservative and think. use some intelligence. you want peace, well your party is doing a wonderful job at creating it. the republican party has always just done a wonderful job at maintaining peace around th world. and you speak of winning in the war on iraq. what is winning? do you even know? you speak of this as if this were a simple game of soccer. the team with the most points wins. the rehetoric of conservatives needs a massive overhaul because it is absolutely ridiculous and perpetually contrary to reality. you are simply taking advantage of the ignorant people of america with your rhetoric by making it simple as possible. hey it works, good job at twisting truth. you've done an excellent job at that. better than any administration i have ever seen. by the way, what is winning in the war on iraq? our mission has changed from time to time with the effect that we dont even know what we are doing there. first we were taking out a regime that was attempting to use nuclear weapons. in the end there were none. so after that, the republicans changed their language. no its not about the nuclear weapons, its about liberating the Iraqi people from this terrible regime, which is great that we've done that. but now we've created more instability in the region than there ever was. we talk about winning the war and that we need to create stability but there was stability!!! now there isn't. now there is more trafficking of weaponry and anger between the middle east than ever before. and the republicans are just so great because they have made america safe. errrrr. wrong. america is much unsafer now with the instability in iraq. yeah perhaps saddam was a horrible leader, but look at the destruction, murder, that is going on in the country. the blood is on your party's hands, on your president's hands. and you wonder why the world hates america. it's really not that difficult of a question. attempt to view the world from an outside perspective, or perhaps you, like many americans, can't or simply dont want to. because that is what incriminates you. face up to it, you, your party, and your president are guilty of creating one of the biggest disasters in american history that will take decades to clean up the mess of this administration. so next time you wonder why the world hates us, just remember that. stop believing in the lies, stop believing this fanciful dream of victory. start living in reality. this isn't the world our fathers fought in in WWII or grandfathers in WWI. Victory can't be achieved by force, rather is must be believed. the fact is we as americans dont believe it and the world doesnt believe it because its simply not there.

Shouldnt you be standing in DC listening to Jane Fonda right now, instead of spamming blogs you dont agree with?
Peace only comes from capitulation, either you give in to your enemies will or they give in to yours.
oh, and try to remember that 'brevity is the soul of wit' and since it took you three paragraphs to say absolutely nothing, I'll draw my own conclusions.

Shouldn't you be hunting right now or attending an NRA meeting right now. Or shouldn't you be joining the rest of the crazy right wingers down at the border trying to keep those Mexicans out. Come on, stereotyping should never be used to smear the other side, yet the Republicans love it.
Personally I think Jane Fonda is obnoxious. But way to take the typical Republican route and throw all the liberals in one barrel. It's not as simple as that. Just as there numerous types of conservatives, there are the same for liberals. And you think you taint my image by just saying, "oh go and listen to that crazy hippie liberal over there where you belong," well you are dead wrong.
Because if that's the case, then I guess 70 percent of this country should be listening to Jane Fonda for their lack of support for the president, his handling of Iraq, and his complete and utter avoidance of domestic policy. He never really did have a domestic policy. It was always as confused as the language he uses and the tactics he uses on an international level. The man is truly misguided and has been offered some of the worst guidance in this country and most of the country is finally aware of this. I guess we should all just go listen to Jane Fonda now.
Oh and this I loved. "Peace only comes from capitulation, either you give in to your enemies will or they give in to yours." Only you conservatives can have the gall to come up with some of the most ridiculous phrases that mean absolutely nothing at all. It is as if you are consistently trying to prove your a man. Oh trust me, we all know you have big balls, there is no reason to have to prove it by throwing the world into even more mayhem. The republican phrases are always like "either you do this or you do that." "Either you make the chili with some beef, or you can you make it with turkey and make it a little healthier." Oh it's brilliant. I guess I never thought about it that way. Thanks for the wonderful advice. Unfortunately that is the type of ignorant thought that has made this country much more vulnerable and weaker.
So back to your original idiotic statement. Who is our enemy, please? And how do you suppose we make them capitulate. At first our enemy was Saddam. but now he's gone. But guess what, we've got a new enemy. It's the terrorists again. Gosch darn these terrorists are everywhere the Americans are. What's the deal? But perhaps these people can be seen as something else as oposed to terrorist. Perhaps freedom fighers, I know how dare me. Let me put this in your sort of logic so that I can make it simple for you and your readers to understand. "Either we leave Iraq now and admit that it is up to the Iraqis to take on what is now a civil war, or we can continue to take part in business we don't belong in."
This is after all a civil war. And the longer we play a role in it the more the more "the terrorists" will continue to come. It won't stop in Iraq. Even if we remove the terrorist out of Iraq, they will simply move elsewhere. You can't fight them in a traditional war. They aren't a traditional enemy. Even Bush has admitted that himself. They are not going to simply capitulate and we claim victory.
We cannot face every single enemy terrorist because more and more are being bred every single day. It is a machine that won't stop. The way to win the war in Iraq is by toppling their system. This is common sense. Unfortunately this sort of common sense hasn't reached a majority of the American people yet. But it will. Give it 20, 30 years. The way to remove terrorism is to remove their funding and removing everything that is needed for a terrorist system to work. Certainly curtailing oil importation is a start. But look at China and Russia who are the world's largest importers of oil after the United States. These countries are fueling the terrorists as much as we are. And until we stop the nations of the West to support this, we will continue to have terrorism. Make the governments that are funding go bankrupt. That's how you win this war. Not with guns killing other people with guns. It's just ridiculous and it will never work. This ain't no John Wayne movie. Things are just a little more complicated than those simple little phrases and logics than the Republicans come up with day in and day out.
"Liberalism is trust of the people, tempered by prudence; conservatism, distrust of people, tempered by fear."

why are you here? do you think you have any hope at all of changing my ideas or any of my readers ideas ?
I mean, when you take the time to write all that blather, I really do appreciate that you spent that sort of effort on me, but seriously, have you ever changed anyones mind? is this some sort of therapy for you? Do you feel compelled to correct the mistakes of others? Is it some complusion? You just cant help youself?
How can I and my little blog help you feel 'self-actualized'?
Come on man, get a hobby, go fishing, go shopping for antiques, go find something to do thats worth your time. Dont waste your time going to blogs you know you dont agree with when you look at the by-line on the title.
You and i know youre not interested in exchanging ideas. To you, visiting this site is just the cheap version of watching WWF. You just want to sit in the audience and watch a good fight. You like the taste of bile.
Youre not a worth adversary, youre just a sad little boy with a time management problem.
